Dear ASHRAE Members,

 

November is MEMBERSHIP PROMOTION month!!  Bring a guest (potential new member) on NOVEMBER 17and they, too, can enjoy the presentation and THEIR LUNCH IS FREE!

 

Please mention your guest when you RSVP so we can make sure we have enough lunches.

 

 

The topic will include DUCT DESIGN, LEED, and GOOD/BETTER/BEST DUCT DESIGN.

The topics covered for chillers will include:    Quick review of refrigerant cycle for chillers, main component of a chilled water system & their relative size,    how do chilled water & condenser water temperature impact overall system  efficiency,  when does it  make  sense to put a  VSD on your chiller,  and the  latest update on  refrigerants.

The  topics  covered  for  Central  Plant  Optimization will include :    Multiple applications to be discussed.

Making Net Zero Net Positive: Solving the Efficiency and Cost Paradox-

This month will be a special min-technical seminar and will be featuring the ASHRAE sponsored webinar “Making Net Zero Net Positive: Solving the Efficiency and Cost Paradox.” Following the webinar we will have a presentation and roundtable discussion led by Corey Chinn (Project Manager, Farnsworth Group).  Corey will discuss his experiences and evaluation of a series of projects in Boulder County which culminated with the successful completion of two net zero homes.  He will then lead the group in a discussion on the net zero webinar and provide members the opportunity to respond and discuss their experiences with Net Zero successes and pitfalls.
